Denise Meda Calderon gives insight about the work behind her success and her ongoing journey that’s led her to be a doctoral student at Texas A&M University in the Department of Philosophy. She speaks about her family background and the adversities she has overcome and grown from. She expresses her passions through the lens of a Latinx female in the modern world.

Dr. Avant- Mier speaks of his background and trial and errors while forming his diverse career while concentrating in popular music and film. He elaborates on the beginnings of his works and gives insight to the world of gaining a PhD and pursuing graduate school.

Our second livestream “Building Community” that took place on October 20, 2020. The talk featured guests Mary Cantu and Dr. Fredrick Luis Aldama.

Mary Cantu presents about her community engagement through recyclable art that has inspired creativity and encouraged climate and sustainability knowledge throughout various diverse communities. She speaks of her journey and how her passion for creating a greener environment became her profession.

Award winning author and professor Fredrick Luis Aldama enlightens viewers on his work in the Latinx community as a professor and advocate for higher level education programs in poverty-stricken communities. He speaks about his driving force, his students and how he is constantly breaking barriers and achieving new highs.
